  • H2Out

PAvilhão da Água launched the H2OUT project with the goal of bringing the laboratories conducted within the Pavilion to schools, companies, and institutions.

This initiative focuses on a new area of intervention, promoting and enabling experimental sessions outside the Pavilion's structure, but in every way similar to those conducted in a scientific research laboratory. Accompanied by technicians, all participants are invited to interact with the experiments, thus fostering a fantastic connection with the world of science.

The Pavilion offers eight H2OUT laboratory options.

THE JOURNEY OF A DROP OF WATER
Understanding the water cycle in the environment is the goal. Through simple and fun experiments, we intend to demonstrate the path that water takes on our planet, from the formation of clouds and rain to its various destinations. The concepts covered are evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and infiltration. Depending on the age group, the explanation will always be supported by experiments.

THE PHYSICAL STATES OF WATER AND BUOYANCY
With fun experiments and already internalized concepts, we will demonstrate that water can assume various states and classify materials according to their behavior in water.

WATER TELLS ITS STORY
Our planet, despite being called Earth, is made up of three major components essential to the survival of all living beings: air, soil, and water. The main objective is to understand how water is distributed on our planet, the properties and characteristics of water, and the changes in its physical state in the environment.

THE PRINCIPLE OF BUOYANCY AND THE DISCOVERY OF THE RAINBOW
What is buoyancy? What is the importance of ice floating on Earth? What is refraction? These are just some of the questions we will answer through our experiments.

EARTH, THE BLUE PLANET
Represent the distribution of water on Planet Earth and refer to the availability of fresh water (surface and groundwater) on Earth, based on information about the total amount of water available. Identify the properties of water (density, volume, and solubility) and understand the importance of water quality for human consumption (potable and non-potable water).

THE COMPOSITION AND QUALITY OF WATER – HOW DO WE KNOW IF THE WATER IS GOOD?
What are coliforms? How to analyze water with a probe? These are just some of the questions we will answer. Through various experiments, we will verify the quality of the water.

WATER SUSTAINABILITY

Water, beyond its importance in sustaining human life, is the most important known and widely used means of energy transmission by humankind. The workshop "Water Sustainability" aims, through experiments, to explain and verify the role of water in the environment.

WATER AS THE FREAT ENGINE OF THE CLIMATE MACHINE

On a journey through Planet Earth, we will discover that ocean currents, human activities, and structural mechanisms directly influence our global climate system.
